2017 - Betsson Acquires NetPlay TV

In February, Stockholm-based sports betting operator Betsson AB buys NetPlay TV for a deal worth £26.4 million, thus strengthening its foothold in the UK. The acquisition puts Vernons and a couple of other brands including SuperCasino and Jackpot24/7 under the ownership of the company. Betsson announces a long-term plan of bettering all the brands and products previously owned by NetPlay. The ongoing operations of the outsourced NetPlay TV customer service and payments are centralised in Malta while other mission-critical CRM and VIP functions are pulled closer to the company’s core business in Sweden.
