Prison officer Michael Elliott of Brechin scoops a whopping £3,001,511 in what is dubbed as the highest-ever jackpot won across Spain, Scotland and England by betting on eight 2-2 draws. This win makes it to the list of the biggest and most notable football betting wins of all time, signifying the persistence of the pools. Elliott is the first triple millionaire created by pools betting.
